Huajiang Wild Duck Nature Park |
Huajiang Wild Duck Nature Park, which belongs to
the tidal area, is located at the interchange of Hsindian River and
Dahan River in the tributary of Tamsui River. Due to the flat terrain,
a large amount of sediment and organic matter are deposited. Because of
this, there are abundant benthic organisms, aquatic plants and ebbs.
The reed bushes in Houshazhou form the best base for the hidden rest of
the wild ducks. This innate advantage of the wetland environment allows
thousands of migrant birds to choose Huajiang Wild Duck Nature Park to
inhibit in winter. Here is the best place to watch the wild ducks at
each fall. Wild Bird Society of Taipei also arranges professional tour
guide teachers on weekends, and holds free tour guides in Huajiang Wild
Duck Nature Park. | |
The nearby wire racks are high, with magpies nesting on
it, and Peregrine falcons stopping on the Hsinbei Bridge, but we didn’t
see them today. There are also plenty of three types of urban
treasures, including light-vented bulbuls, sparrows, and warbling
white-eyes. Black kite flew across the sky. There were a lot of
starlings. We had a heated discussion on whether they were white-tailed
or family starlings. The commentary signs along the way showed that the
species of birds near Huajiang.
We watched birds from the river, but the bird
condition was not good today. Sandpipers in the distance were busy
eating, herons flew over and hide back to the grass, and several
African sacred ibis stayed in the distance. We watched about 25 species
of birds in total.
