Fun with Birds>Campus Promotion Course

Campus Promotion Course
Before the Cyberfair project, we didn’t know so much about bird watching, so we invited Ms. Shu-Chen Chuang to bring us a bird watching course. For example, the birds are distinguished according to different seasons, bird species, exotic species, and bird retention. In addition, the difference between adult birds and juvenile birds, even the appearance of birds is a university question. Course teaching allows us to quickly understand the basic life style of birds when we go to bird watching.

In the second course, Ms. Chuang introduced a lot of bird species photographed by herself, and also told us how alien species affect the ecology. These are such a rich variety of bird ecological videos that can be produced by so many years. Also because most of the films are about bird species in our school, which also gave us the idea of actually going to the site to see it, and also contributed to the next campus bird tour.
We invited Ms. Yun-ting Chu to lead us to explore the bird ecology of Changan Elementary School campus. She also talked about why she liked bird watching and contacted with birds. Then a group of us went to the playground, and spotted-necked turtledove, light-vented bulbul , Javan myna, magpie appeared in the middle school baseball stadium. The banyan tree near the kindergarten had a lot of fruits, and also attracted black bulbul, white wagtail to find food. On the Daren Building roof railings, we also saw black-collared starling. On Chengching South Road and Chengching North Road, Asian glossy starling, sparrow, and tiger bittern can be seen here. The bird ecology of Changan Elementary School is really interesting. In the past, we have never noticed these wild birds, and only looking for birds is also such an excitement requiring good eyesight.
Mr. Yung-hua Hsueh also had a lesson with all of our children, let everyone know that the birds on our campus were so interesting. The next time you visit the campus, do not forget to look at these bird friends. In the later research process, Magpies were appearing in our campus one after another, and even Formosan blue magpies were appearing during our pilgrimage! So this kind of joy cannot be described in words!
