Wild bird rescue plan
The Wild Bird Rescue Conservation Center was established in 2007 and was named Midway House. It was named because when people collected the young birds of collared scops owl fledglings, which caused severe whitening of feathers due to white bread feeding. It saved her life after more than 1 year of treatment, but it lost the ability to survive in the wild. Because it was raised by bread, it was called Bread. The house that got it halfway became an area for bird rescue, care, long-term containment or progressive wild birds release, which can also teach people the concept and principles of wild bird rescue.
However, the treatment of injured birds involves many details. After returning to school, the teacher helped us to invite Ms. Kuang-Shan Hsieh, the leader of the rescue team of the Wild Bird Society of Taipei, to tell us the story of the treatment of injured birds.

The teacher told us the way to judge whether the bird is injured. We need to watch the bird ’s eyes, feather integrity, and whether the feet are intact before we think about the treatment. There are four main points in the simple principle of treating the injured bird, that is placement, insulation, feeding, don't feed it, and don't feed it to eat.
The reflection in the glass can make the bird mistakenly think there is another world, and fly at high speed and cause injury. Therefore, in order to avoid such problems, a lot of raptor stickers are affixed to the glass, but the effect is not good over time. Later the use of stripe stickers allows birds to judge that this is a place they can’t fly through and reduces injuries. Little birds practice flying is the biggest source of casualties. These flying birds fall to the ground and what should humans do to deal with it? If the injury is not serious, and the female bird may continue to take care of it, but if the human is too close, it will cause the bird to panic. Furthermore, you can use a branch or a stick to send the bird back to the tree.

If the injured bird is determined to be sent to the rescue center, pay attention to the transportation problem. You can prepare boxes, lay newspapers, place thermos bottles, and do a good job of placement, so as to ensure that the injured bird will not be injured twice due to the transportation process.
