The joy of bird watching>Bird watching and conservation
Bird watching and conservation
After many bird-lovers getting close to birds and knowing birds, their perspective of bird-watching starts to focus on the environment the birds live in, what foods they like to eat, what season they will come to the habitat, how to breed, and brooding. Birds’ survival has a close relationship with the natural environment. Birds need many species to sustain their lives, such as fish, shrimp, worms, insects, and even snakes, flowers, and fruits. Birds can be said to be the main species of environmental abundance. As long as we protect the survival of birds, we can protect more species, and thus maintain the natural environment. (Mu-ji Hsiao,2016a)
The population sizes of many species of birds around the world are rapidly declining due to habitat destruction caused by alien species, overuse, pollution and other reasons. Among them, migrating birds have a wide range of life scope, whether habitat destruction occurs in breeding sites, wintering place or transit rest to replenish physical strength will all impact the survival of the individual, and then affect the overall population.

The Wild Bird Society of Taipei takes the people to watch birds, and hopes that the people can use the eyes of birds to see what kind of conditions the natural environment should have. People who are interested in birds and like birds will work hard to assist, protect and take care of them. In the process, if the birds are well taken care of, the environment in Taiwan will be improved, and the Taiwan environment will benefit the Taiwanese. By watching the birds, people can get closer to nature and relax, and also build correct environmental protection concept for people.
