Cultural Heritage（One day tour from Zhongshan Station to Beimen Station）
★Shilin Station → Shuanglian Station → the headquarter of Taipei Metro Corporation → the Jazz Plaza → Zhongshan Linear Park → the holiday market → ( walk or take the MRT) → the North Gate → Taipei Post Office → Beimen Station → ★Shilin Station

Tour guide
Start off from Shilin MRT station, take Xinyi-Tamsui Line to Shuanglian Station. Walk to R10 exit, and you can see the headquarter of Taipei Metro Corporation. On the wall of the corporation building, Mr. Cloudy, a dream dog designed by artist Yanliang Lin. The way it climbs to the top of the building symbolizes people’s striving for their dreams. Right beside the corporation is the Jazz Plaza, where there are cute little carousels and a Ferris wheel decorated with flowers.

Walk along Zhongshan Linear Park, and you can find restaurants and many unique stores that sell special clothing, accessories and some cultural art work. The square next to Exit 4 is where holiday markets are. There are often street artists and markets on holidays there.
After that, you can visit the national monument, Beimen Ancient City Gate. The North Gate is the main gate of Taipei City and it is the best preserved among the five gates. There are other heritage sites around, such as Taipei Post Office, the Railway Division of Taiwan Governor-General’s Bureau of Transportation, and Mitsui Warehouse.
The last attraction is the Beimen MRT station. It was the location of the Machinery Bureau in the Qing Dynasty and the railway work areas in the Japanese Colonial Period. Now it is like a small museum where lots of historic paper documents and photos are well preserved. The original underground layer is reserved and opened to the public for people to realize the historical significance of Beimen Station.
