Operations Control Center
We visited Operations Control
Center located at Taipei Main Station. The operation center
is the ¡§brain¡¨ of Taipei Metro, which transports two million
passengers a day. It controls the entire high-capacity MRT
network (the control center of medium-capacity metro line is
in Nangang), including train dispatching, emergency control,
and guiding service of visually-impaired passengers. When a
problem occurs, the station will immediately contact the
operation center.
Operations Control
Center (OCC)
The center will then instruct station
staff on how to fix the problem, and station staff will
inform the public within five minutes so the problem can be
solved or delayed.

The employees of Taipei Metro are well
experienced to know how to handle and respond. Besides, the
maintenance staff have received proper training and
thoroughly execute construction works and material qualities
in an attempt to maintain the system¡¦s safety and stability.
Thanks to their hard work, we can enjoy the comfort and
convenience of Taipei Metro.
