Control on New Year's Eve
The annual New Year¡¦s Eve is
the busiest time in Taipei. There are New Year¡¦s Eve
festivities, and the surrounding area of Taipei 101 is
crowded with people to watch the fireworks. In an effort to
release the huge amount of people at this peak hours of the
year, Taipei Metro has taken a number of measures to
facilitate the commuting flow.

Taipei Metro will be running for 42
consecutive hours from December 31 to January 1. Routes and
shift distance are adjusted according to crowd conditions.
Additional staff up to 2,700 people wear eye-catching yellow
service vests to guide passengers to move in and outside the
busy stations. There will be escalators, elevators and gate
access control as well.
