In the monument, it mentioned that Banchiao was originally called Baijie. It first explained the origin of the monument- the Lin Family donated money and land to build the school buildings of Fangciao Common School (today Banchiao Elementary School). It accepted many students. Thanks to the donation of the Lin Family, the students who studies in Daguan Charity School could continue study in Fangciao Common School. The new and spacious school buildings were exclusively donated by the Lin Family, which was quite unusual. They had great effort in opening the culture atmosphere in Banchiao City.
It also explained the appearance of the monument: 90cm in width and 165cm in height. It also recorded the writer and the sculpture. The writing was written by the fifth supervisor of Taiwan and the fifth civil affair supervisor and the famous Japanese calligrapher.
