Fenglingsu is a kind of Ban-Shou gift supplied by Dahesong Salico, and it is favored by the consumers. The Fenglingsu DIY activity held by the Nougat Museum is widely accepted by the visitors. Therefore, here we introduce the origin of Fenglingsu and the DIY activity.
It is said that there was a famous woman military officer, who liked archery since she was young. She thought the shape of arrow tail (also called Fengling, Phoenix tail feather) deeply attracted her. However, as a woman usually has less strength, she often felt her strength was not equal to her ambition when drawing the bow. So her mother made a lot of food to strengthen her body for drawing the bow successfully. Among all of the foods, a kind of delicious crisp biscuit made of mochi, pineapple, yolk and walnut was the best food that could make her not inferior to man in archery. To memorize the biscuit that improved her archery, it was named Fenglingsu. And this female military officer was the famous Fan Li-Hua, who is famous in Chinese history. |
