1. Register as a historic building to protect important cultural heritage

"Hexing Police Station and its dormitory group" are of great historical and cultural value. In 2017, the Changhua County Government reported to the Ministry of Culture that the building in front of the police station was registered as a historical building, and it is still used by the police at the Hexing Police Station.

2. Reconstructing the Historical Site

The Changhua County Government applied to the Ministry of Culture of the Central Committee for the project of "Thousand Ships Entering the Port - Reconstructing the Historical Site of Lukang" - including the rear dormitory area into the plan for repair and reuse projects

There are seven dormitories behind the Hexing Police Station. The age and form of the buildings span the wooden official buildings during the Japanese rule, the brick dormitories in the post-war period of the Republic of China government, and the modern reinforced brick dormitories on the second floor.
The last two of them are standard government buildings with bamboo weaving and mud walls
during Japanese rule.

3. The First Youth Innovation Base in Changhua County - Support Youth Starting a business with Government Power

The Cultural Bureau of the Changhua County Government leads the investment promotion. The applicants are young cultural and creative entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 45, who exchange the right to use the old dormitory with the model of "free activities for rent".
Finally, a total of 9 youth brands entered and started trial operation on July 29, 2011.

What is the " free activities for rent " model？

The " free activities for rent "model is to convert the rent price of each store into cultural and artistic activities (the cost analysis table and execution content must be provided), providing the public with free participation without paying the store rent.
The content of the activity needs to be planned by the resident, and the direction is limited to cultural and art related lectures, workshops, performances, community management, skills of the resident or related activities in Changhua County and Lukang.

4. Helding youth career counseling courses

In order to enable young business operators to operate smoothly and enhance their professional knowledge, those who are selected for business management qualifications will receive professional courses in marketing and operations management offered by masters in the field of entrepreneurship.

It is expected that the young business operators will accumulate experience in the cultural and creative market and create a bright future through " free activities for rent ", professional counseling and brand exposure.
