Talking Points(4)(5)(6) |
(4)Mr. Shi-Yao Chen |
|
Chen,Yu-Jui
With the help of my teacher, I used the bird-watching
telescope to observe birds for the first time, and saw the so-called
professional skills. With the help of the telescope, I could see the
details of the feathers, eyeballs, and lines on the birds very clear. |
|
WU,CHIA-WEI
I think the strangest phenomenon is that crested goshawk
eats brown shrike, and crested goshawk eats mice. I think 70% of people
can't stand it when seeing that picture. Crested goshawk is really a
powerful killer! |
|
LIN CHENG-HSU
During the bird watching, we saw a crested goshawk
eating a mouse, and even a brown shrike! I gained a lot through this
bird-watching trip. I not only saw many birds, but also saw the cruelty
of nature. |
|
Chen,Hsi
The teacher said that we must be quiet during bird
watching. We were fortunate to see the tug of war between tiger bittern
and a super long earthworm. The key point was that the war lasted for
more than 3 minutes. I hope I can see more different and interesting
birds in the future. |
|
HUANG, AN-YU
After this activity, I learnt a lot about birds and bird
watching, for example, how to watch birds when I get to the park, how
to get along with birds and the most important multiple of the
telescope. |
|
Tai,Chung-Hsiang
What impressed me most was that a brown shrike eaten
alive by crested goshawk. The point is, we watched it carefully with a
telescope the last second! I also saw a lot of unseen birds here, and
the ecology here It's so rich!
|
|
Chang,Yung-Cheng
Mr. Shi-Yao Chen told us that many different birds
can be seen in Daan Forest Park throughout the year, so we must take
good care of the environment so that they can have a clean and
comfortable place to live.
|
|
Hsu,Xin-Mi
If you are really interested in bird watching, you can buy
a binocular that can be hung up anytime. If you are more interested,
buy a small illustrated handbook.
|
|
Chou,Yu-Fei
What impressed me most was that we saw crested goshawk
eating rats. I think this bird ecology tour is worth going, because I
saw many different types of birds. I have never been able to tell the
difference between birds.
|
|
Chih,Hao-Ching
Daan Forest Park is suitable for many birds to live in
because it has land, lakes, and trees, and this is why we can see so
many birds. The teacher also mentioned that bird watching has many
benefits, such as making people's eyesight better, and observation
power more acute. I think I also gradually like bird watching. |
|
(5)Mr. Yueh-Hui Chen |
Chen,Yu-Jui
Mr. Yueh-Hui Chen let me know that being a
volunteer at the Wild Bird Society of Taipei is hard, and it’s no
wonder they can know what kind of bird they are once when they see the
bird or hear the bird ’s call. I must have had a lot of interest in
bird watching before I could pass the training to be a volunteer. |
|
WU,CHIA-WEI
I think those volunteers are really amazing and
laborious, because they have to be familiar with a lot of things, such
as environmental routes and various birds, and they often go to help
guide and the content is very interesting. Thank you very much! |
|
LIN CHENG-HSU
I saw the natural environment being destroyed by humans,
because in the second half of our bird watching, there was a yellow
field under our feet, which was full of garbage such as plastic bags
and was really terrifying. |
|
Chen,Hsi
The teacher said that there were more than 10,000 teals
in Huajiang Wild Duck Nature Park, but now there are only about 60
left. This is evidence that the environmental pollution is too serious.
If we continue to pollute the environment, there will be no more birds
to inhabit. So we should take good care of the environment.
|
|
HUANG,
AN-YU
Mr. Yueh-Hui Chen said that one must be interested in
bird watching first, and have certain knowledge of bird watching, and
one must be devoted to it. Then after more than half a year of training
in bird understanding, one can become a formal guide volunteer. Now, he
has been a guided volunteer for thirty years. We appreciate him for his
efforts in environmental conservation. |
|
Tai,Chung-Hsiang
The teacher is very familiar with Huajiang Yanya Natural
Park. There will be stationing and guided activities in Huajiang every
spring, autumn and winter, and this location is by the river, so the
environment is colder than other places for the bird-watching people.
Workers are also more laborious than workers in other locations in the
city. |
|
Chang,Yung-Cheng
Mr. Yueh-Hui Chen said that in bird-watching, we should
take nothing except photography, and leave nothing but footprints. We
don't litter to destroy bird habitat. |
|
Hsu,Xin-Mi
Mr. Yueh-Hui Chen said that he joined a bird club because
he had a friend of the bird club and went to watch the bird with him
almost every day. So many things are a wonderful fate. |
|
Chou,Yu-Fei
I was very surprised to find that there were only a few
hundred or even dozens of geese and ducks from the original. The main
reason is that the geese and ducks have left because of changes in the
environment, sedimentation, and narrowing of the river. |
|
Chih,Hao-Ching
The teacher mentioned that one must be enthusiastic to
join the volunteer’s work, which is important. Because if you are not
enthusiastic, you may give up after you finishing one or two volunteer
training. |

(5)Miss
Shu-Chen Chuang |
|
Chen,Yu-Jui
Ms. Shu-Chen Chuang introduced the common migratory birds,
resident birds, fabulous birds and straggler birds in Taiwan, and
taught us why we should protect birds, why we should not import birds
from abroad, and abandoned them. The teacher told them by storytelling.
We understand how important animal protection is, and we have opened a
window to knowledge on the biology courses we will learn later. |
|
WU,CHIA-WEI
The teacher said that there were some birds that threaten
the food chain of nature. For example, Egyptian holy birds, which
attack or prey on smaller birds, and even worse, the Egyptian holy
birds' food habits and great egret, little egret, herons and other
birds are similar, so they may crowd out native species. |
|
LIN CHENG-HSU
I heard Ms. Shu-Chen Chuang’s explanation this time, and
I realized that the original bird world was so amazing and beautiful. I
have heard of someone watching birds before, but I never knew why it
was so interesting. Now I know so much owing to the teacher’s
explanation. |
|
Chen,Hsi
The teacher introduced that a little egret flying to a
farm field. However, a road was planned to be developed. And the
development time was delayed. In fact, as long as you carefully observe
and look for it, you may be able to see it.
|
|
HUANG, AN-YU
The teacher said that the egret flew to Taiwan and stayed
for a few years before leaving. The teacher also shared the alien
species that came to Taiwan and the ecological crisis caused to Taiwan.
The African sacred ibis changed from less than ten to thousands in
Taiwan and took over the land belonging to other birds. I think this
course was very interesting, because I knew many birds after listening
to it. |
|
Tai,Chung-Hsiang
The teacher talked about the definition of a bird is that
it has a pair of wings, feathers, and two feet. I think the most
disgusting point is that the bird will spit out indigestible things.
Birds bathe in water and sand. |
|
Chang,Yung-Cheng
From these two lessons, I learned that if you raise a
bird, you must not discard or release it at will, because it may cause
ecological changes, and alien birds also cause many problems.
|
|
Hsu,Xin-Mi
The teacher said that the bird-watching equipment should
include multi-pocket vest, clothes close to nature colors, long-sleeved
trousers, a hat, and a telescope. Each item has its function. And this
let me know more about the meaning of bird-watching. |
|
Chou,Yu-Fei
I found that we humans have introduced exotic species of
birds into the country for the sake of temporary benefits. This will
not only affect the entire environmental ecology, reduce the number of
native species, but may also suddenly cause a surge in bird quantity. I
hope that this project can reduce such things. |
|
Chih,Hao-Ching
The teacher mentioned that she once flied to the outlying
islands for bird watching. I can tell that Ms. Shu-Chen Chuang likes
bird watching very much, because only people who really like bird
watching will go to bird watching elsewhere. |
