Ecological Master
During the questionnaire interview, we asked Uditha Hettige, a Sri Lankan ecology teacher, to do the questionnaire, and Mr. Shi-yao took the initiative to assist in the translation, so the English visit began.
Interview
1.How long have you been engaged in bird watching?
 It's been about 30 years since 1989!
2.What bird watching equipment do you have?
The equipment is not the point, the point is bird watching. Don't forget the original intention of bird watching because of the camera equipment!
3.What is your total cost of bird watching in the past?
Spending money is not the point. The most important thing is to spend time. If you can watch birds around your home, and spend about 1or 2 hr every day, you will be a bird-watcher after watching it for a long time. So it is not to use money to decide whether you are a bird-watcher. You can watch birds if you want to watch them!
4.What are the feelings that bird watching activities bring you?
Bird watching is like meditation. It is relaxing and funny. Sometimes when you see a new bird species, you will feel like reaching a goal, so bird watching is a very special activity. And you will enter a very special state. It's like you have forgotten yourself because you can concentrate on it while playing electric games. Bird watching can also be like this!
5.What are the benefits of bird watching?
Bird watching is fun and can increase professionalism. You know where the birds live and how the environment is, so when the ecology changes, you know how to protect the ecology. When you protect the environment, you will feel like you are contributing to this world. Our ecology is comprehensive, so when you protect birds, you also protect people.

6.What do you dislike most about bird watching?
The bad weather is not the point, because bird watching includes rainy days and hardworking of climbing mountains. You are happiest when you see the birds after all the hard work. When it rains, the birds will also hide, so you can observe how the birds hide when it rains, and after the heavy rain, the insects will run up, and the birds will run out in large numbers, so it is not bad to rain, you can see more birds instead. If you don't like rain, then just go to the zoo to watch the birds, so in fact bird watching is only fun if you have experienced these things.
7. Is the concept of injured bird treatment important?
If you want to save it, but it still feels like you want to eat it, you can call someone to help, you don’t need to deal with it by yourself. If the injured mountain bird is caused by human behavior today, then you can save it. If it is attacked by the eagle, and you save it, the eagle could not bring meat back to feed its children. This is an ecological problem.
8.Does bird watching help protect the environment?
Bird watching will definitely help, but we are not just protecting birds, we should also protect the ecology. Because if you protect big things, the things inside it will survive. If you just film birds and fail to observe and understand its living environment, you have no way to achieve ecological conservation, so I encourage everyone to start with bird watching.

Conclusion
Teachers have many different views on ecology. Like bird watching, we usually hate rainy days, but after the rain, the bugs come out, and the birds follow, so sometimes don't be afraid of the weather!
