What do you usually do when you are on the MRT? Do you read, sleep, observe the passenger or be a phubber? Do you ever notice the poetry posted on the MRT carriage?
One time I took the MRT by myself on my way home from school. I was bored and as I looked up, I saw a short poem posted on the wall. Although there were only a few words, the whole poem was intriguing. After that, I paid attention to those poems every time I rode the MRT. Some of them are easy and interesting to read while others are quite deep that I need to read it again and again to grasp the meaning.
To encourage people’s creative writing in literature and bring art of poetry into the life, Taipei Metro and the government organize poetry contests for people to share their ideas and work. Come and join the contest if you are willing to share your creativity with everyone.
