If you think Archaeological Studies are simple tasks such as looking for bones of the deceased, you are totally wrong. The study of archaeology not only helps us learn about our environment but also probe into how people lived their lives centuries ago.

Now let's take a trip to the archaeology exhibition hall in Nanke

origin

6500 years ago, Nanke was only a large area full of sea water. After years and years of plate movement, land that is now called Tainan Science Park was formed. By the time of 1995, while exploring the area, workers accidently discovered bones from generations ago.

Through archaeological research, the relics are speculated to be nearly 5,000 years old, which is extremely valuable cultural assets.

  1、 How to found:

Before Nanke was founded, the land was a huge sugarcane plantation. In 1995, the government appointed explorations in the area. Nonetheless when the machine started to explore, it was also the start of the discoveries of our ancestors.

For fear of destroying the ruins still untapped, archaeologists have been invited to conduct a comprehensive monitoring. Over the course of  six months, other prehistoric relics were found one after another, resulting in a total of a total of 12 relics, the earliest of which named "Tao Ye ruins."

  2、Heritage Content

After 15 years of efforts, the archaeological team in Nanke rescued excavated 82 archaeological sites, discoverd countleess broken pottery, stone, jade, bone and horn with the iron and other shellfish. For historically uninitiated, it wasn't generally broken debris, but it is a priceless treasure.

Epilogue

The only reason these bones and tools from centuries ago still exist today mainly was because the 15 years of excavation work.

From the Dapenkeng culture since neolithic age to today's history, we are proud to say that due to our technology, the relics are still well preserved and we could pass them on to our next generation!
