The government should have strict monitor if there’s any sewage discharged into the river, guiding people about the sewage treatment and develop an environmental friendly are. Otherwise there will be more rivers could face the fate of being exhausted.

The Future of Plum Tree Creek is on Our Hands
Plum Tree Creek, as we called "Shu Mei Keng Creek", is actually has nothing to do with the place Shu Mei Keng. From knowing the difference of these two, the explanation from students and teacher Chen Jian-Xing, we've learned that is wasn't just a ditch like what we see now. It was a river with abundant ecology and offered drinking and irrigation water for people. However, as time goes by and the entered of consortium, water intercepted at upstream, polluted by sewage of hoggery and the river was covered to build a road. Intertidal creatures gradually decreased, and abundant water has also become a small ditch today. Fortunately, the local cultural workers, chief of the village and residents resist to see the beautiful stream turns into a stinky ditch. They began to plan the renovation, launched a series of protective actions and give it a beautiful name, Plum Tree Creek, the name related to the place is a wish that hoping all the residents could care about it more. Also hoping government can face up the environmental problems. Or the future generations could only see beautiful mountains and rivers in the history.
