Hello, Thank you for allowing us to do the survey with you. There is a river passing through our community. The elderly people say that the Plum Tree Creek supplied water to the resident for the use of agriculture and drinking in the past when it was riches in fishes, shrimps and crabs. However, its beauty remains no more. Causing floods when typhoon occurs, dirty and smelly became the impression of Plum Tree Creek. We want to find out the reason of the transformation, deal with the pollution, bringing the clear stream back and giving fish and shrimp a chance of survival. We believe people will get close to the stream once again and our community will become better and better. This is a thematic study of Plum Tree Creek. This investigation sends out 150 copies of questionnaire and takes back 126 copies of valid questionnaire.
C. Questionnaire analysis
1.How long have your family lived in Zhuwei？ 2.Which Vil. do you live in Zhuwei？ 
Up to 70% of the students are moved to Zhuwei in recent decades. Around 80% of the students live in Plum Tree Creek area.

There are only 28% of students have heard Plum Tree Creek.  Only 20% of students have been to Plum Tree Creek or seldom go there.
3. What kinds of activity have you done in Plum Tree Creek? 4. What is your feeling of Plum Tree Creek?

Students go to there to hike or to do some nature activity.

The students think it is a stinking river.
5. Does Plum Tree Creek has serious pollution? 6. In your opinion, what kinds of pollution threaten Plum Tree Creek?
Around 60% of the students think Plum Tree Creek has severe pollution. The students think that there has lots of garbage and domestic pollution in Plum Tree Creek.
7. The responsibility of maintain clean river belongs to whom? 8. Which way is the most efficiency to protect Plum Tree Creek?
All residents have the responsibility to maintain our river. To promote public awareness of nature conservation.
9. Are you willing to join the environmental groups to protect Plum Tree Creek?
Most of the students are not willing to clean Plum Tree Creek. There are only 24% of them are willing to do the environment protection. 　

D. Questionnaire analysis

1.  According to the basic data analysis: most students in Zhuwei are migrated to Zhuwei in recent twenty years, and there are 80% students live in Plum Tree Creek area.

2.  Questionnaire shows that there are half students know Plum Tree Creek, but just a few students who have ever been there. They feel it is full of pollution and smells bad, the main activity is hiking. For Plum Tree Creek’s history, ecology doesn’t really understand, pending further to educate and spread it.

3.  The main environment pollution is cause from garbage, house sewage and industrial discharge, this is a little different from our actually observe, express that students not really know about the problem of pollution in Plum Tree Creek. Aimed at the problem of Plum Tree Creek s pollution, school should positive go on spread the education of environment, let students know Plum Tree Creek’s problem of pollution.

4.  Most students think protect Plum Tree Creek is community’s responsibility, but it just have a quarter of students want to join environmental conservation. This is the property of Taiwan’s environmental conservation, everyone said that themselves should take the responsibility of protect environment, but no one want to attend environmental conservation, it become our slogan, to reinforce environmental conservation’s practical is also an important work of school education.
