These days, we have sung, we danced and we laughed happily with Cih-Sheng members. Although being known as a teacher but was more like a family member. Every time when we learned and met, our inner child would always naturally encounter. We got alone with them and felt each other through the eye contact, the smile and the touching when we shook hands. We waited patiently and we trusted each other, so everyone’s mind would be slowly opened. When we looked up to the sky, here came the sunshine.
When we were in the dancing rehearsal of "Listen", I often couldn’t understand the language of Xiao-Rui, I even needed the students to explain for me. But when the music played, he focused on his body movements and the music flowing in his body that attracted me a lot, I couldn’t help but ask Xiao-Rui, “What is the feeling like in dancing?” He narrowed his eyes, raised a shy smile and said “It’s like a flower.”
I finally understood that Xiao-Rui who is with Down's syndrome conveys to the world by his emotional and attractive body, not the language. By the time, it revealed their growth and their gentle transformation. During the practice, to the mental-retarded friends, some of them sometimes sing very high while some go into a standstill situation right away; to the shy friends, they just hum the song together; to the dysphasia friends, they still can sing the song in their inner hearts and not be stuck in their bodies.
After guiding them to learn each song and dancing month by month, they let the music inject into their mind to extend their attention; their voice and bodies started to extend gradually; they smile with confidence; their voice has the purity of angel.
When we are listening to them, I usually couldn’t help but thinking about how much happiness and sadness did they face behind their voice? Lots of disabled friends have to face their difficulties by themselves, like the uneasy lives, the pain of the bodies, and the difficulties in learning. They have grown with the company of the parents and the teachers. There must be a lot of hard stories which are unknown. I asked myself, “what can I do more for them?” When the audiences gave the applause, I was thinking and touched by the connection with the nature ability
Chisheng members might be slow in improving. However, to me, that is a kind of tender. Tender and slow transmutation is the most real. Tender transmutation is not only the progress of Chisheng member’s skills demonstrate performance, but also the “Sunshine Wishes” that I want to share with you.
