The Small Small Bookshop not only has the owner Sappho supporting it, there are many other partners working to support the bookstore. It is this support of a great deal of people that makes it work.

“Small Small”Staff

The staff at the bookstore could be called superheroes because from the moment the store opens until it closes, they take care of every tiny job. In addition to these jobs, they are also responsible getting involved in art events, community activities, and the running of the social networking sites. In addition, there is no room to be afraid of cockroaches, or lose one’s love for books. To put it simply, working at the bookstore is not a romantic dream job, but in these circumstances superheroes can certainly learn to fly!

“Small Small” Shareholders

The Small Small Bookshop formally changed from a private company to a floated company in order to give the members greater economic power, and give those who have an interest in preserving the future of the bookstore a chance to invest. Two of the shareholders are also workers at the store.

“Small Small” Part-time Staff

The Small Small Bookshop of course hopes to invite those with an interest in working at a bookstore to join the team. Not only must they love books, but also actively keep a clean environment. Although the part-time staff are paid, they don’t have some of the benefits that full-time staff do, and they have to work on a rota system.

“Small Small” Volunteers

The bookstore is always busy and has many courses and activities. Because of this many friends of the bookstore also volunteer to help out. The difference between the volunteers and the part-time staff is that volunteers aren’t paid for their work.

“Small Small” Members

Anyone who spends more than NT $800 at the bookstore can become a member. There are discounts available on books and other in-store items. In addition, members are given a cute white membership card.

“Kaka” Members

The Small Small Bookshop “Kaka” members are active members of the Donghai Scholars Union. They not only help the members of the bookstore, but also help with the funding of the bookstore. In September 2012, they were also involved in the “NT $11 a day to help Small Small Bookshop help you!” plan!

“Small Small” Stray Cat

A stray cat called Big Yellow is a stray who lives in the neighborhood, and everyday comes by the store to work! He is now very famous in the store, even to the point that at the six year anniversary a special postcard was made in his honor!
