The Small Small Book Club initially only ran the book club for parents and children. In September 2006 they started to run the club for everyone and covered every kind of literature. There are many activities held by the book club, including quizzes and animations. Isn’t that great? They hold so many activities in the hope that there will be more and more people in the future. This is their “Small Small” idea!
Joining the Book Club
Fees
Each event has different fees. The literature classes cost around NT $800 for 4 classes.
Individual classes are NT $250. Members get 20% off books and 10% off other products.
Notes : The classes cannot be transferred to someone else, but can be made up at another time.
Limits of People
Limited to 16 people. You can join the waiting list if the class is already full.
Lecture Fees
Fees are charged depending on the number of pages of the lecture notes.
Activity Q&A
Q：Do I need to have already studied literature to join?
A：No, you just need to have an interest in literature!
Q：If I can’t make it the first week, can I come to the second week?
A：We read one book a month and so we don’t accept new students in the middle of a month. If you miss the first week, you have to wait for the next book.
Q：Do I need to finish the book before coming back?
A：Not at all! We don’t write dissertations! We understand that people are very busy and don’t have a lot of time to read. We choose a book and spend a month reading it and discussing it and so no one needs to worry.
Q：Is there anyone to lead the reading club?
Ａ：Of course! But I’ll let you guess who it is!
