Eco-park to Occupy the Riverside

Yung Ho Community University is to create an ecological farm near the Zhongzheng Bridge. However they are suddenly accused of over-cultivating the land. Fortunately, after explaining the situation, the storm blew over. The local residents then understood that the land was to be used as a park and they helped to spread the word.

Yung Ho Community University Plan an Eco-farm on the Banks of the Xindian River

The government and members of the community university are planning and financing an eco-farm. It is hoped that the restoration area will be complete soon.

The government is doing maintenance work on the banks of the Xindian River to ensure the safety of lives and property of residents along the riverside.

An Abundance of life Below the Yung Ho Zhongzheng Bridge

The land below the Zhongzheng Bridge in Yung Ho was just two years ago overgrown with weeds. However now it is full of birds and butterflies and there is now an abundance of life in the eco-farm.

The Eco-park Faces a Crisis

The lease on the land for the eco-farm has already expired and the farm now faces a crisis. If an alternative plan can not be found, all the effort that has gone into the farm will be lost.

Yung Ho Community University Eco-farm is Moving!

In 2004 everyone was feeling dismayed. The farm under the Zhongzheng Bridge had to move to a site near the Fuhe Bridge. However, even though they needed to start anew, they still continue to work hard to protect the environment.

Yung Ho Community University is Awarded First Place

The prestigious 2004 Ford Conservation and Environmental Protection Award was won by the Yung Ho Community University! This confirmed the volunteers hard work was worth it and we thank them for helping to make Taiwan a good place to live.
