In Yung Ho City, we have a wetland utopia. Taiwan's endemic aquatic plants that were on the brink of extinction are being restored here. Insects and birds have also found a new habitat. The story of how this beautiful garden came to be begins with five environmentally minded dreamers.

[Basic Information]

Superman Father Chen Chau-Ren

Background: An ecological conservation researcher with over ten years experience.

Expertise: Restoration of endangered species, education promotion, promoting conservation concepts and community conservation efforts.

The first time we met Superman Father was at junior tour guide camp. He sincerely instructed our team and showed us how to be great tour guides!

 

Frog Father Chang Han-Yuan

Background: From a young age Mr. Chang Han-Yuan loved biology. When he was studying him the school conservation society and began to notice the importance of natural resources and environmental protection.

Expertise: Involved in the promotion of environmental, ecological and conservation education. He also personally participated in the reconstruction and management of wetlands.

Wetland Father Chang Wen-Hsien

Background: Artificial Wetland Construction

Expertise: Leads students and members of the public to visit artificial wetlands and observe the rich ecology, and to get hands-on experience of constructing a wetland.

During the restoration process of the Yung Ho Community University Eco-park, Wetland Father called on many scholars to help form a professional consultation team to provide knowledge and support in order to create the wetlands.

 

Ecology Father Chang Rui-Sheng

Background: National Taiwan University Ocean Research Doctorate, Yuda University Assistant Professor of Business and Technology, Zhongxing Universityand Shijian University Assistant Professor, Yung Ho Community University lecturer.

Expertise: Ecology – related to teaching and training.

The first time we met Ecology Father was during the junior tour guide camp. He helped us learn about the wetlands by using simple terms to explain complex topics in order to help us understand the importance of environmental conservation.

 

Pan-pan Father Pan Tseng-Chien

Background: Chairman of the Yung Ho Community University Eco-park

Reason for Joining: After listening to the International Council talk about the destruction of wetlands, Pan-pan Father was inspired to start the Yung Ho Community University Eco-farm and get more involved in the restoration of the beautiful Xindian Riverside.

Park Duties: Responsible for planning the whole park.

We first met Pan-pan Father when we went to Yung Ho Community University. He was very welcoming and introduced us to all the volunteers at the park. It is hard to believe he is already 70 years old, but he still exudes passion and care about this land.
