After becoming familiar with and understanding more
about the Yung Ho Community University Eco-park, we
decided to work hard to introduce the park's plants to
even more people.
However, becoming a guide with enough
knowledge to explain the park to everyone is not that
easy! The volunteers that work in there spent a year
researching the area. Therefore, the teachers of SDD
and ETTC planned a “Guide Training Camp” for us. The
camp was aimed at teaching us about the wetlands, its
habitats, ecosystems, flora and fauna, and environmental
ethics planning. We even did some outdoor training.
Altogether we spent 16 hours completing the training
course and afterwards we felt ready to take up the
challenge of introducing the wetlands to other people.
