Lotus Pond

The Lotus Pond is in front of the bamboo bungalow. While you slowly wander and rest in the bamboo bungalow area, you can watch the water ripple and the fish just under the surface. You will realize that the area is not very big, is able to fill you heart up to the brim. If you come earlier in the morning you will see a ball of water move back and forth on the leaf. Most people will misconstrue it as a pearl.

Lotus Pond has a walkway that has been created from the wood that is in between railroad tracks. The oldness of the wood will allow you to reminisce about the past. The area outside has 7200 square feet of empty land. The area consists of heat resistant, wear resistant, easily grow able grass. The area also contains many kinds of flowers and plants. The grass and flowers have come from Tzu Chi nursery , from people who have donated it, or from people who have sold it. The colors there are simple yet elegant. The rocks are arranged in such a way that increases the beauty and power of the area. In the bamboo bungalow there are plum blossoms and pine tree that grow straight and strong. This type of feeling comes without the need for words.

The meandering movement of the pine trees is similar to Tzu Chi people willingness to diminish and humble themselves and accept other people's teachings. Because of this they are able to grow straight and strong, and will not move according to their own path. Because of the people of Tzu Chi willingness to keep their Ten Commandments they are able to purify their heart. This purity can be seen in their dignified manner and through their faces.
When you receive these things in your heart and have received a peaceful, pure feeling in your heard do not want to forget share it with others.
