In Taiwan , the population consists of four major genetic groups: Min-Nan, Hakka, aborigine, and the immigrants from the mainland of China . From this survey, we would like to find out whether Taiwan becomes a genetic melting pot just like what the United States is after having contacts, communications, and even intermarriages between different genetic groups for about sixty years.

After having discussion with all the group members, we decided “the blood relationship” and “food like” will be the major topics for this survey. In addition, three teachers and Andy's mother took the responsibilities for the design of the survey context and printouts; Jim's father and Andy's father are responsible for the statistics and the data analysis. Andy is the convener for this survey and Jim is response for all the communication jobs.

In general, this survey is quite successful. However, the most interesting part is we retrieved more surveys in “food likes” than “the blood relationship” From the fact we noticed, we can realize that people have greater interests in food; therefore, they have better desires to fill up the surveys in “food likes” topic.
