When studying at the elementary school, there's a club specialized in teaching Chinese knotting. The instructor was teacher Wu, Shu-Ting, and she was also the class instructor of Andy, Angel, and Nancy. So we ¡§visited¡¨ her by returning to our school and ¡§took the advantage¡¨ inquiring about Chinese knotting. Teacher We was humble and said that she was not good enough. Teacher Wu's teacher is teacher Kuo, Li-Mei. Her level of Chinese knotting skill is very high, and she also holds classes with countless students. They were masterworks of teacher Kuo, in all kinds of shapes, such as fish, shrimp, cat, house, peacock, Christmas tree, etc. Each of them is lovely, so pretty! |

Teacher Kuo taught us patiently, not only by dictating and drawing but also individual instruction. Teacher Wu also assisted her, so we had great fun learning. Because it's our first time learning Chinese knotting, we had to learn from the basic ¡§cross knot¡¨. |

At first, we have to find the middle point of two ropes, numbered them with 1, 2, 3, 4 accordingly. Put number 1 on the other side of number 2; put number 2 beside number 3 over number 1; put number 3 beside number 4 over number 2; number 4 is different, pull it over and through the hole formed by number 1 and 2, and finally pull the four tightly and a cross knot is completed. |
