 Mudskipper

Their most distinct characteristic is a pair of bulging eyes. They spend most of their time with their abdomen on the ground, so their natural enemies are obviously from the sky. Their great bulging eyes are therefore their protective talismans that help observing in advance. When they are in danger, they jump away or make their way into the caves promptly. They are amphibious, thus their damp skin are used for breathing. Their pectoral fins enable them to move into the water when their skin gets dry. They also make use of their pectoral fins while fighting for territory.
