The main course of temple art is inclusive of the textbooks of Chinese and social studies and local cultural arts. And our course also has a very obvious feature and that is “dynamic reading". We practially went to the learning field. Therefore, the puppet museum in Yunlin County was the place where we explored thoroughly.

　　The museum was initially built as the Huwei District office. When we went there, we also saw the Japanese detention facilities. There were many large and small puppets and related peripheral products. Each puppet is totally different. Based on their features, the roles could be divided into seven categories, and they are males, females, painted roles, elders, clowns, ghosts and beasts. Before we visited there, we had already learned the operation and introduction of the puppets and the performance of Nanguan music. So, we weren’t unfamiliar with the knowledge introduced in our textbooks. On the other hand, more deeply we realized the beauty of local culture.
