🔎Encounter with Aesthetic~Appreciate Aesthetic

To plan curriculum which is called “Appreciate Aesthetic”, before the new semester began in August 2018, the principal, chiefs and teachers took whole school students to visit National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and it was the first time we visited art-themed museums. After interviewing teachers, we know that the purpose of curriculum design is to enhance our ability to appreciate beautiful things. In November, volunteer teachers of Rainbow Express Train of National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts came to our school and taught us the techniques of watercolor, sculpture, oil paintings, body rhythm. It was a very valuable and creative class. These volunteer teachers brought a lot of paintings, with the explanation by teacher Chi-yu, we learned how to find meanings behind the paintigs from the subtle details. Sculpture class was for 1-3 graders and they tried their best to show their favorite sports on the sculptures through rhythm. On the other hand, 4-6 graders cooperated to composite and make their work whose horizon is not straight with acrylic paint, brushes and painting knives. Though the activity lasted only three hours, the harvest for all of us was infinite!

In June 2019, once again we came to National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, because we should be trained to be art guide volunteers in the course of "Tour in Art." At such a formal place, Quanta Culture & Education Foundation and National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts arrange professional art guide teachers to teach us how to systematically express and introduce the artists’ creative ideas, processes, and characteristics to others. This training allows us to learn to think in different prospectives when observing things.
