🔎Cultural and Creative Laser Engraving under the Camphor Tree

The third training course is about aesthetic technology work. And it’s called “Cultural and Creative Laser Engraving under the Camphor Tree.” Our principal, chiefs and teachers mentioned the purpose of this activity is to guide us to think creatively, make more creation and then solve problems in life. This capability is the spindle of science and technology, the power of finding new knowledge, and the foundation of maker education. In the course, the high-power laser which is guided through an optical system and to cut materials by outputting lasers is often used in industrial manufacturing. Because there are machines with low power and convenient to operate, laser has also begun to be used by schools, small businesses and amateurs.

The vast farmland is an eye-catching sight in our lives. In our campus, tall and lush camphor trees provide us with materials. Therefore, combining the elements of technology, aesthetics, and local food and agriculture, we cut the trunk of the camphor trees which is regularly trimmed every year into thin slices. And some slices were made into creative coasters, and some were used on laser engraving work in computer class. We design our own unique cultural and creative works.
