Introduction

In 1949, the army and its dependents crossed the sea to Taiwan. In order to settle the military families, the government built numerous villages, forming a special village culture. After the 80s, the villages are rebuilt one after another, and 2nd generation began their creation of the villages, which keeps the old memory of their hometown. Below is to introduction of the relevant works and characters of Military Dependents` village in Pingtung.

Title : Short Film on Military Dependents` Village in Pingtung: No.69
Qing-Dao Street.

Director: Tseng, Shin-Kay Plot: the storyline of the No.69 on Qing-Dao Street in the village Describing the change and impact of the older and younger generation in the village. The story chooses "Family" as the theme, exploring the feelings between people and the house. The actor and the actoress try to protect the integrity of the village, but they still didn't make it.

Plot: The story is closely linked to the axis of "Losing and Owning", the actor who is an architect heard that the village he grew up in will be demolished. He goes back his hometown and meets the actress who is a kindergarten teacher by chance.

Zhang, Xiao-Feng

Zhang,Xiao-Feng, born in Jin-Hua, Zhe-Jiang Province in 1941, grew up in Taipei and Shengli New Village in Pingtung. Her famous work is "The End of the Carpet", which mainly expresses the joy before marriage. It was once selected in the textbook of middle school. She has won many literary awards and is one of the Top10 outstanding young women in Taiwan. On December 12, 2012, She received "Outstanding people from the military Dependents` village" reward" on the "Legend of the MD village in Pingtung" Event , held by Pingtung Healthy City Association.

Liang, Xiou-Sheng

Liang, Xiou-Sheng Born in 1948 in An-Hui Province. Liang grew up in the Military Dependent`s Village in Pingtung. He used to be a forest ranger, and he entered show business in 1970, directing and producing behind the scenes as well as acting. He have produced the TV series《Goodbye,Zhong- Zhen 2nd village》 , which reflects the unique village culture of Taiwan and its changes. His plays have been nominated for many golden bell awards and have a prestigious position in Taiwan's film and drama industry. In December 2011, the Pingtung Healthy City Association promoted the legend of the village and called on the descendants of the village to go back to their hometown to visit their neighbors. He won the first session as Top 10 outstanding people from the military Dependents` village.

Sun, Da-Wei

Sun, Da-Wei Born in 1951 in the Military Dependent`s Village in Pingtung, In 1949, his father took all his family to Taiwan with the military government and settled in Pingtung. When he was in middle school, his family moved to Yi-Lan. When he was 32 years old, he entered the advertising industry. After that, he made many popular advertisements and became a rising star in the industry. He died of cerebral hemorrhage in 2010 at the age of 58.

Chen Yusheng

Chen, Yu-Sheng Born in 1923 in Hu-Nan Province, he entered Huang-Pu military academy when he was young. In 1948, he came to Taiwan with the national government and settled down in Gong-He new Village, Dong- Gang, Pingtung. He served as the instructor of Dong-Gang air force school. He once learned calligraphy from Yu,You-Ren and devoted himself to calligraphy creation. With his unremitting efforts, he eventually became a famous calligrapher nowadays.
