The early village activities were very wonderful because the people came from various places, the diversity brought in different cultural celebrations, such as: National Day, driven by patriotism, every family must hang the national flag to express the loyalty to the country. During the Chinese New Year, every family is always filled with the aroma of the rice cake and shares it with their neighbors to make the New Year even warmer. Holidays

New Year

Early time of the New Year, people made their own festival food or ornaments . At leisure , they also made toys on their own . During the New Year reunion, children showed the handmade toys to play. And the soldiers dressed themselves up as dragon and lion and danced in the village from door to door .

If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of holiday, just open the door, they would come and dance in front of your house . They would not leave until the crowd reward them with red envelopes with money inside!

Mid-Autumn Festival

Early time of Mid-Autumn Festival in the villages , kids would carry.It was an interesting festival game at the time!

In nineteen fifties to sixties , life was simple in the countryside. It was difficult to be economically satisfied , and there's only small amounts of food to eat. People could only buy rice or vegetables . Snacks were never an option. Kids were hardly allowed to have candy or snack. A dime could buy three pieces of candy. it was already happy enough for them for a while , let alone the Mid- Autumn festival moon cakes. Wrapped with pineapple stuffing , the mid-Autumn festival moon cakes were really delicious for everyone .

On the night of the Mid-Autumn festival,you could hear firecrackers everywhere in the village. Compared to the city, you could feel the atmosphere of the festival better.
