Chia-Hsuan Wu After a fierce competition, I got the chance to participate in the CyberFair again this year. The theme of this year was completely new. Fortunately, we found our way quickly so we could start our project.
There were nine members in our CyberFair this year. Through a competitive discussion, we reached a consensus and decided our theme would be “Boundless Love, Taiwan Root. ~ TRMPC”. The TRMPC is a non- governmental organization. It’s a group of people that do free medical services for indigenous populations or in remote mountain areas. Through research into this special topic, I found out that there were many people devoting themselves and not asking for pay. I admire their spirit. They live by the saying, “Helping and serving others is the foundation of happiness.”
Besides realizing the spirit and idea of the TRMPC, I learned a lot through the process; such as the technique of interviewing, data collection, collaboration, and presentation. I got experience and improved, especially when we joined the medical action with the TRMPC in Wufeng Township in Hsinchu. We got a chance to know the procedures and stories of the free medical services. It was a really nice and an unforgettable experience.
Chen-Chi Lee At the beginning of the semester, the faculty told us about the CyberFair. Two of my classmates and I showed great interest in the event, so Miss Fan recommended us to attend the selection of the CyberFair. Luckily, we were chosen to join it.
The teachers asked us to come up with some topics first. After a discussion with my teammates, we decided to go for “Boundless Love, Taiwan Root. ~ TRMPC” as our project theme. Taking part in the event, we kept a working log, collected and organized materials, did on-site visits and interviews, arranged the exhibition, made presentations and designed the webpage. We were very serious and put a lot of effort into the work. We were always well-prepared for every activity and had sufficient practice, so all of us learned a lot and made great progress in the end.
We spent 4 months working on the project. We spared no time and even got together to work during lunch breaks. It was a pleasant journey. The project helped us learn things about the TRMPC and the importance of teamwork. I am truly glad to have the opportunity to be part of all this. It really broadened our horizons. We were also grateful to Dr. Liu from the TRMPC, who kindly accepted our interview and to the 3 school teachers who provided us with all the necessary assistance we needed.
Wei-Cheng Chen I have worked on the CyberFair project for four months. Our team has developed a great chemistry from working together and accomplishing this project.
We started by collecting and categorizing information. Then, we visited the headquarters of Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps and interviewed the founder, Dr. Chi-Chun Liu. We got some valuable first-hand information and that was really impressive. In order to introduce our project “Boundless Love, Taiwan Root. ~ TRMPC” to all students, we planned presentations in each class. We started by making slides and rehearsing. I don’t think I did well in the final presentations. I stuttered because I was a bit nervous. I realized that 10 minutes of brilliant performance onstage comes from 10 years of hard work offstage. I have to prepare better. If there were another chance, I would give a better presentation. I really learned a lot through working on this project. It has broadened my horizon, bolstered my confidence, and I have learned some new skills. I would join the project next time if I could.
Jo-Ching Wei After a long competition, I was selected as one of the member in the CyberFair. As the 4 months went by, we became more and more familiar with each other.
Every time we assembled and took part in the activities, we had to write a working log and our feedback. We also needed to translate them into English versions. It helped us improve our English writing skills a lot.
I have learned how to categorize and consolidate information well through the CyberFair. I have also become more confident because of the presentations. We all benefited a lot from the teachers’ instructions.

I have learned many skills and lessons by having interactions with my classmates. We learned how to draw a mind map and collect different kinds of information. I also learned of the spirit of the TRMPC, how Dr. Chi-Chun Liu set up the TRMPC, and the volunteers who sacrifice themselves selflessly.
Although the process took a lot of time, I still improved a lot and I gained more confidence because of my friends’ support and company. The CyberFair really enriched my life these days; I hope I can have the chance to join this event next time.
Yuen-Yu Yang This is my first time to participate in the CyberFair. Our topic is the TRMPC (Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps), so we browsed the Internet and read lots of related information about it. In order to gain some insight into it, we visited the headquarters of the TRMPC in Xindian and interviewed Dr. Chi-Chun Liu. Besides, we joined its volunteer clinic and made presentations in each class at the end of the semester. I was really busy, but I did learn a lot from it.
After working on this project during this period, I found the volunteer clinic really meant a lot. It has strived to achieve its goals for twenty-four years with unparalleled amounts of love and passion. Their selfless devotion is highly respectable. I hope people can become acquainted with these selfless people.
I would like thank the teachers’ guidance. I have learned a lot of computer skills and had special experiences which cannot be acquired from classes. Those experiences have boosted my confidence and improved my English ability.

The process of this research was very meaningful and enriching. Through teamwork and discussion, I learned how to accept others’ opinions and offer my own ideas. We visited and interviewed those who play an important role in the TRMPC, and it made me realize a few things: one is should discuss the questions you would like to ask the interviewees in advance, another is to respect all the interviewees and be a good listener to be able to make a complete record for the interview.
In the volunteer activities, we saw the inadequate medical resources given to the remote areas of the mountain region. The volunteers from the TRMPC were doing their best to help those who were poor and in medical need, with own their efforts and financial aid. They provided free time and care to those who needed medical resources.
Allowing other classes know the real spirit of the TRMPC, I’m so excited to participate in the CyberFair. I want to thank my classmates for their company and tolerance, and at the same time, I want to thank all the teachers for their diligent directions.
Yu-Chi Weng I spent an entire semester taking part in the CyberFair. At first, I had not the slightest clue about what the TRMPC was, but ever since I started on the project, I learned many things about them and also had the opportunity to meet the founder of the organization, Dr. Chi-Chun Liu. We started off as strangers, but over time, we grew to know each other better. Wanting to present our project perfectly, we organized many activities, including visits, interviews, involvement in free medical services, and experience-sharing in class. My teammates and I worked closely together and helped each other. We really enjoyed the precious time through it all.

The theme of this year is “Boundless Love, Taiwan Root. ~ TRMPC”. We’ve organized many activities. On November 16th, we interviewed Dr. Chi-Chun Liu, Director Li, and Secretary Liao. We watched a video about the TRMPC. What a happy day!
In order to let all students and teachers know what the TRMPC is, we gave an introduction to every class on January 15th. Giving a speech made me very nervous. My heart was in my mouth when everyone’s attention was on me. I finally pulled this off and it was actually not as hard as I thought.
