According to Taipei City Government, Department of Transportation, Youbike is classified as local and small operation scale in Xinyi District. Limited by its operation scale, most of the Youbike users are people living or working in this region. For other districts in Taipei City, the demand for Youbike bicycles is relatively low. Though due to GIANT's statistics, Youbike has 500 to 600 users per day and this amount is acceptable, but if Youbike is willing to operate continuously and make some profit, this scale is too small.
Taipei City Government, Department of Transportation has already made a plan for this. They hope via the effect of expanding the scale and road network, it can increase the usage of Youbike, because the more stations are there, the more people know, and the more often people use it.
