Q：According to the erection of Youbike, is there anything which brings inconvenience to citizens?
A：The purpose of setting up Youbike is to bring convenience to citizens. Youbike becomes a new option to be chosen from when citizens want to travel , and it is almost readily available. It decreases the time of connecting two places , and it need little money. But the inconvenient part of Youbike is, since Youbike hasn’t been constructed entirely, Youbike can easily bump into pedestrians walking on the sidewalk, and it is quite annoying to them.
Q：Is Youbike a successful policy of Taipei City?
A：This year, more than 20,000,000 people have used Youbike already, and the turnover rate is more than ten times per bicycle, the highest in the world. There are only thirty Youbike bicycles missing till now, less than the public bicycle in Paris. These statistics can prove that Youbike is really successful.
Q：Are there any thoughts about the improvements of the Youbike?
A：The construction of parking Youbike bicycles is quite well; it can adjust the amount of bicycles depending on the numbers of users. There are many bicycle lanes beside sidewalks, hope that there could be more bicycle lanes because there are still many bicycles riding on sidewalks which belongs to pedestrians.
Q：Look at the policies Taipei City made for Youbike, is there any loopholes?
A：Most of them are found and improved. For example, since people don’t have to pay for the first thirty minutes when renting Youbike, many people will count the time and return it then rent another bicycle in the next moment. Owing to this situation, the government stipulated that if people want to rent another bicycle in the same spot, they have to wait fifteen minutes. But, this limit soon leads to another problem. Many people will take another card and rent the bicycle again, depriving others’ right to rent a bicycle.
Q：Do Taipei City's Youbike bicyclists like the travel routes designed for them?
A： People who like to travel or ride a bicycle usually like them. We have designed many routes, hoping that people with different preferences can enjoy. There are routes designed for people who love to eat delicious food; people who enjoy relaxing; people who have an artistic temperament… etc. Everyone will like them for sure!
