The nude statues by Wang seem just like some completed objects, but the difficulty of manufacturing is way beyond imagination. There’s no need to mention the request of every piece of object, but conditions including the amount of the combination, the coordination of the height between each statue, the choice between standing or sitting positions, and the different angles of the lying position all need to be the elements taken into consideration when making the statues. To create orderly and touching works, it’s essential to emphasize on the permutations, the shape of the pedestal, and the changes of the height.
Furthermore, each statue’s process of the relation between the direction and the space needs to be controlled well, taking real vector space and virtual vector space into consideration. While showing the most beautiful facets of each statue, considering the connection between the surfaces of each statue, avoiding them being affected by one another, creating the energy of linear kinetic and that by each statue staring at one another.
Wang reached another peak of his sculpture career by creating group statues, and explored the‘human nature’ issue, giving emotional spirit to his artwork.
