Then, we visited Client 2-Mr. Yu. Mr. Yu was seriously handicapped. He could not walk but only climb. He stayed at home all day long and never left the house. Mr. Yu was living in his brother’s house. When each of his family was out to work, there was no lunch for him. The Foundation knew his situation from the head of neighborhood and started to delivered meals to him. The volunteers chatted with him to express their concern.
Mr. Yu’s Home
Mr. Yu lived with his family in a concrete house.
Mr. Yu was waiting for his lunch in the doorway on time. The lunch was important to him.
Ms. Chan gave him a red envelop for Chinese New Year.
We gave the fresh lunch to Mr. Yu.
Mr. Yu was handicapped. The Foundation is going to make a device for him to walk.
Mr. Yu’s room was small but clean. It was better than Mr. Ho’s.
Mr. Yu showed agreement with a nod as we asked him about the taste.
Mr. Yu looked happy. Ms. Chan took us to chat with him.
The reporters asked our thoughts about meal delivery.
We gave our letter of thanks to Ms. Chan for being volunteer this day.
We gave our letter of thanks to Mr. Hsu for leading us in meal delivery.
We gave the volunteers applause for caring the minority groups.
Reflections
This delivery made me know that there are many people needing our concern and assist in the world. Fortunately, there is one organization like A Skin-Love Foundation to take care of these people with patience and love.
Mr. Yu was heavy and climbed hard. Ms. Chan promises to make a device for him to walk. I hope that Mr. Yu’s life will be improved with the device.
This delivery made me realize how fortunate I am. I am healthy and have a warm family. I am grateful for everything I have now.
Mr. Yu was waiting in the doorway for the lunch. It was meaningful to deliver meal to the elders. I look up to the volunteers who deliver meals during the whole year.
