Changhua County Government held different activities to attract meatball shopkeepers and meatball tasters to participate in Changhua Meatball Festival every year.
In 2007, the National Meatball King Competition and the Most Popular Shop Competition were held. Moreover, the Changhua County Magistrate Cho, Po-Yuan held a press conference in Taipei City with Taipei City Mayor Hau, Lung-Bin to market Changhua Meatball Festival.
In 2008, the theme was Meet Meatball in Changhua, Spread Delicacies around Taiwan. Also, the Most Popular Shop Competition was held.
In 2009, since there was a flood in Taiwan this year, Changhua County Government held a charity bazaar to raise money for the victims of the flood. Besides, the Creative Chef Tournament was held to add more fresh cooking ideas into the traditional local specialties.
In 2010, the theme was to market the idea that Changhua is the hometown of Meatball and the World No. 1 Meatball is in Changhua. Besides, combined with Facebook, more activities were held to attract more people and to market the Changhua Meatball.
