Although this research project that ran from May to November was tough, it was interesting at the same time. We interviewed many people, such as Architect Mr. Chung-Ping Wang, Chairwoman Ms. Diana Chen, and Mr. Hong-Ming Lin, the general manager of Taipei Financial Center Corp, etc.

The most memorable part of this project was interviewing the general manager of Jasonˇ¦s Market Place. During our interview, he gave us a tour of the market and introduced the array of items Jasonˇ¦s Market Place carries. Of all the items, the gigantic king crab surprised me most because it was twice the size of an ordinary king crab. We also saw a lot of things that other supermarkets do not carry. They have great varieties of foods. I was so excited that I could not stop holding the managerˇ¦s hand!

The interviews with Ms. Diana Chen and Mr. Hong-Ming Lin were also intriguing. The interesting part about interviewing Ms. Chen was the content she discussed. Her voice was soft and she looked at everyone in the eye when she spoke. Mr. Lin also gave me a deep impression. His speaking was very smooth. He was very clear about what he was saying as if he was reading from a script.

Being able to take part in this Taipei 101 project was a great thing for me. It allowed me not only to strengthen my writing ability but also to learn how to use a computer and type with a keyboard.

The most fun part was writing poems. I used to think poetry writing was difficult. But surprisingly, I was able to finish 3 poems in a row. I did not know poetry writing could be this easy. Also, I have always thought surveying pedestrians on the street, interviewing people, writing essays, etc. are hard to do. But having tried them myself, I no longer think they are hard. The Taipei 101 research project really made me learn a lot of new stuff!
