The custom of Zhuā Zhōu first passed down in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties (220-589 years). The day when the baby turns one year old is called "Dujun". Help the baby take a bath and put on new clothes, and let him grab the items prepared in advance at will, so as to judge the job, industry or hobby that the baby may engage in when he grows up in the future. The previous Zhuā Zhōu was to check the baby's physical development, and it was also a very solemn ceremony. With the change of the times, the focus of Zhuā Zhōu has gradually shifted to a ceremony where family members get together and celebrate the baby's safe and sound growth.
