Lantern

The Wang family's lanterns are round in shape and have a history of more than one hundred years. They are made of stained glass, but they have been weathered now, resulting in an overall gray-white appearance. The most special thing about Wang’s lanterns is that they are hung from the ceiling, not portable. This lantern is also one of the reasons why the current owner, Wang Nenghong, bought the house.

Floor Tiles

The floor tiles on the second floor of Wangzhangfa have two shapes; the floor tiles in the living room are hexagonal, while the floor tiles in the public hall are quadrilateral, which represent different meanings:

Hexagon Floor Tiles

Shaped like a "turtle shell", it symbolizes the peace and longevity of the tortoise.

The hexagonal floor tiles are arranged mutually, it produces a herringbone shape, which symbolizes people coming and going, the meaning of population prosperity.

Quadrilateral Floor Tiles

. It symbolizes being fair and just.

. It symbolizes the fields and represents wealth.

Patio

There are not too many light sources in the interior of the royal family, so the patio designed on the ceiling is not very obtrusive. Because of the fast heat dissipation and heat absorption, it has the effect of warming in winter and cooling in summer, and also has the effect of lighting. Summer can often feel humid, and a patio will allow sunlight to filter inside and reduce humidity.

Balcony

Balconies are also called terraces and balconies. They are usually built with stone, wood and metal. You can see Changhua Railway Station from the balcony, and even the National Day parade can be seen clearly from the balcony. The view is very good, but now because of the shop signboards all around, you can’t see it.

Archway Façade

Wang’s house is divided into three buildings, and Wangzhangfa is the leftmost one. The top of the building on the left is designed with the character Wang and the popular Tai character at that time. Because there was rice trading at that time, there is a totem of rice ears on the middle roof. The right side is decorated with the character of king in the shape of a circular totem.

  Window

Inside the small door on the second floor of the store is an abandoned building next door that has not yet been renovated. There is a special window with a semicircular top, also known as the turtle shape, which means longevity like a tortoise.
