An elegant life with Calligraphy
Interview experience
Right at the time of Moon Festival Holiday, our team members went to Teacher Wen-Chiung's calligraphy studio for the interview as scheduled. As we enter the studio with joy and anticipation, there comes Teacher Wen-Chiung welcoming us at the door with a smile. She was pleased to know that there are students who would be interested in doing research related to calligraphy to promote the quintessence. After all, people nowadays depend heavily on electronic product and are too lazy to even write with pens, let alone doing calligraphy.
During the interview, the teacher patiently answered every question brought forth by our team in detail. Among all, the most impressive was a story shared by the teacher about a 6th-grade student who lost both palms in an accident and still insisted on learning calligraphy by holding the brush between wrists. With this passion for calligraphy, the student was eventually able to wield the brush and master calligraphy like a regular person.。 Through this interview, our team's understanding and preference for calligraphy have become greater, and we had also learned a lot from Teacher Wen-Chiung
Teacher Wen-Chiung has been continually working hard on improving herself every day ever since she started learning calligraphy. Now, she is not only invited by schools to teach calligraphy, but she also holds classes in organizations and institutes, or works as a volunteer in fundraising activities, selling her works. There were times when she stayed up late till one or two o'clock in the morning only to complete commissioned works. Despite the late-night work, Teacher Wen-Chiung said that she still enjoys doing calligraphy because it is a blessing to have a career that is also an interest, and doing calligraphy also make the family atmosphere more harmonious. Our team couldn't help but be affected by Teacher Wen-Chiung's enthusiasm and decided to pay more attention to the inheritance of Chinese culture.
