Guang-Hua Lane
The Dong-Long Temple in Guang-Hua Lane is the local center of faith, and the temple is closely related to the history of "Guang-Hua Lane". The main gods of the Dong-Long temple were Wen, Xuei, as well as Ma and Zhao. They moved out of the Guang-Xin Alley and built the temple on the site in 1960. Most of the culture is evolved from religion, so most of the culture in guanghua community is evolved from the belief of donglong palace.
Mr. Tang-Rong, who started out as a sugar factory contractor in 1930, recruited workers from all over the country for the construction of the colony, which gradually became a settlement with the surrounding staff quarters in what is now Guang-Hua Lane. Later, Mr. Tang rong also opened an iron factory in kaohsiung, which was well managed and was one of the largest iron factories in Taiwan at that time. At the same time, it also benefited the local area and created many jobs.
The cultural relics used in the early days of sugar making, as well as the steam trains that transported sugar in the early days of Tai-Tang street, and the elevated railway from Pingtung to Chao-Zhou, all show the steps of its urban development in the old low houses of Guang-Hua Lane.
