Introduction

The buildings in the village are mostly low houses , the street is planned as the character of "eye" in Chinese so he skyline is consistent. Many of the houses were left from the Japanese period , most of which were built as simple houses on the public land.

In the early days, the most common houses were those with straw roofs and bamboo mud walls. Later, after being built by the military, most of the houses were made of brick, with private toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, girders, roof tiles, wires and other equipment.

We can often see blue, white and red flag and anti-communist slogans on the brick walls.

Interviewee: Mr. Wang Wei-Zhong
