Dr. Chi-Chun Liu encountered many difficulties when founding the Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps (TRMPC). With our personal interview, the content is summarized as follows:

1. People: there was a shortage of manpower in the initial stage of establishment, so he needed to recruit more members.
2. Money: at the initial stage of establishment, it was not easy to raise funds due to lack of publicity.
3. Location: he needed to find out where medical resources were needed.
4. Vehicle: Transportation is usually inconvenient in rural areas, so it is necessary to have a car to go up the mountain for free treatment.
5. Medical tools and medicines: medicines and medical tools are needed to treat patients.

However, as Dr. Liu overcame these challenges with perseverance and fearlessness, the TRMPC has gradually thrived. More people begin to identify with its ideas. At present, when the recruitment of medical staff and volunteers is initiated for a free medical service, those who wish to participate must register as early as possible, otherwise the entry quotas will be full soon, which is beyond his expectation.
