Different swordsmiths has variable thoughts on sword making, which resulted in multiple unique patterns. The sword Mr. Kuo made named”Feng Shi Shiang Sword” was designed for pursuit perfection. He put a great deal of effort on making this masterpiece, and faced a lot of troubles during the process. But finally, the sword came out in big success. He successfully carved four different patterns on four sides of the blade. Each represents one different King of sky. While sword making, Mr. Kuo didn’t forget to bless our own country, he won the Second Da Duen Artisan competition” blacksmithing section, first place. That gave him more motivation to sword making and blade pattern carving. He starts to attend different competition and by getting awarded, he find out who he is. With the help of professor Lin Chi Lung from Mei He technology university, Mr. Kuo entered the Taiwan Artisan competition, traditional section and was considered a qualified effort.
The stacked layered pattered steel is in the controllable pattern of the folded steel, which is made by using strong acid to erode into the blade to form the pattern. The structure of the blade is made during the process of shaping the blade, and after finishing shaping, the prototype was soaked into strong acid. After several hours, it becomes a blade with fabulous patterns on it. There are two reasons that this magical steel attract different people from all around the world:
First: the sharpness endurance, plasticity, its strength, the ability to prevent from rusting, and its ability to maintain itself after a strong collision are way higher than other steel made product.
Second: the complicated process of making this sword turn the product into an amazing masterpiece. The pattern can be change while prototyping the first model into all kinds of splendid designs. The art craft that includes the element of originality is being praised by sword collectors around the world.
