Shin-Da knife shop
Shin-Da knife shop was established in 1990 at Shin-Da Harbor. In its early ages, the shop mainly sold the agricultural tools and the knives. These knives were displayed in front of the shop, and by doing this, people could select and purchased the tools much easier than before. Also, Master Kuo had displayed the artistic weapon in front of its shop!
In addition, the shop not only sold knives but also provided the service to repair the knives. And because the shop was near the harbor, it provided the shops nearby the repair service as well. In the shop were the delicate decorations of Master Kuo’s work, and these art crafts were waiting for people to come and paid a visit.
1.Master Kuo used to help other people to cast the agricultural tools and knives on his own. The “plow” in the left picture is one of Master Kuo’s best art crafts. He followed the elders’ instruction to heat the steel bar one by one, and when steel bars are almost red on the outside part, he combined every little pieces together and complete the art craft. Master Kuo once said, “Only when one can make the plow on his own can be called as the real Kung-Fu.”
In the shop were displaying the Sung-Chiang Parade’s weapons, and Master Kuo is the only person who has all of the weapons.
