Inside Scoops From Student Teachers
Student shuochang expert teacher: Tony | Interviewers: Ryan, Howard
Profile
Since my mom believes learning shuochang can improve one’s social skills and speaking mannerism, I started learning shuochang and got really into it. My favorite is fast clapper talks because I can hold clappers in my hand. As for cross talks, I need to pay attention to the character’s intonation, so I think it is the most difficult form to master.

Teaching tricks
Prepare the script and clappers beforehand to avoid wasting time.
Feedback
In the process, once the students have learned the materials, they would feel pretty good about themselves. That’s why I like being the teacher. The flash mob was very interesting, and it was nothing like anything we had done before. When we went to the market for peddling with doggerel, we interviewed stall owners and market-goers, and I found interviewing people to be something really interesting.
Suggestions
Clearer articulation when doing a tongue twister, and they must pick up the speed. |
