Tongue twister
Tongue twister is also called‘mouth-bending song,’ form of art that combines words and syntax, making verses difficult to articulate. The name itself implies sentences that are difficult to say them well and clearly. In the province of Hebei, it is called ‘mouth-twisting sentences.’ Tongue twisters appear frequently in cross talks performances to make the audience laugh.
When performing a tongue twister, one needs to speak really fast, and there is no margin for error. It helps people to articulate clearly, and it is especially helpful to those who stutter. In the Quyi industry, tongue twisters are used to train a performer’s articulation, intonation, and proficiencies for other performances.

Afterthoughts
Ariel
Jasmine is an outstanding student Shuo-Chang expert teacher. Besides being patient, she has also been tolerant to us making mistakes. She has helped us correct our mistakes and learn a lot about tongue twisters. Even though tongue twisters are really hard to start with, but after Jasmine gave us a few pointers, tongue twister isn’t so hard after all. I want to thank my student Shuo-Chang expert teacher Jasmine for teaching me so much about the art of Shuo-Chang. Even though the amount of time that we spent together was not long, but I had a great time, and I hope I will have a chance to learn from you again in the future.

During the process of learning, my partner and I made quite a few mistakes, but Jasmine, our student Shuo-Chang expert teacher, was very patient, and she walked us through step by step. At first, I thought tongue twisters were going to be hard. But as it turned out, they were actually fairly easy with the help of our student Shuo-Chang expert teacher. Jasmine sacrificed her after school hours and break time to teach us. It was not laborious and tiring, but she did not complain at all. We may not have spent a lot of time together, but I’d like to thank Jasmine for being so patient and accommodating. I hope I will be able to work with Jasmine again in the future on similar projects like this.
