Role of Ambassador
In recent years, Youbike cause a craze in the big Taipei city and it seems to increase day by day. The reason why we choose Youbike for our topic is that we hope to introduce Youbike more completely and know how the public thinks.
At first, we begin from the questionnaire. Beside from internet questionnaire, we also went to five spots in Taipei City – Ximen, Longmen Square, Muzha Zoo, Xinyi District, and Daan forest park to give out questionnaires.
To make our survey more complete and comprehensive, we strive to give questionnaire to citizens from different ages, gender, and occupations. Finally, three hundred questionnaires were collected. According to the questionnaires we collected, Youbike riders often don't comply with traffic rules and lead to pedestrian's inconvenience and danger.
Therefore, to promote traffic regulations of riding bicycle, we made a petition. We wrote ten rules that City Biker should follow on the petition and invite people to sign.
Besides, we also went on field interview. For example, borough president Zheng from Renai district arranged a time to let us interview.
Based on the ten questions we proposed, we were able to realize how Youbike influences Renai district comprehensively and understand more about citizen's opinion of the Youbike. We hope that our promotion on Youbike and our multidirectional thinking and researches can build a bridge to environmental protection and development.
Mayor Hau Lung-bin led thirty countries' mayors and city representatives who participated in Asian-Pacific Cities Summit to experience Youbike at Xinyi district.
