<Results of the questionnaire>

According to the charts above, our respondents have different gender, career, age and educational background, but most of them are students and business men.

We could see that many of our respondents, mostly business man and student, uses public transportations such as the MRT and buses to commute, only few people chose to ride bicycles. The government should consider adding more Youbike stations along the public transportation stations.

This pie chart represents that 75% people have used Youbike before. We could guess that riding bicycles might become a trend in the future.

According to the chart, we could find that people do not use Youbike very often.

Similar to the result of our online survey, about half of people had to wait for a while to get a Youbike. Though, some people said that it had taken them over ten minutes to wait for a Youbike. Because most of the respondents are commuters, the government should pay more attention to the efficiency during the rush hour.

According to the chart above, most people use Youbike for commuting and exercising.

Same as the online survey, the main reason why people chose to use Youbike was because they could rent Youbike at one station and return it at another station. The reasonable price was also an advantage of Youbike, but with the policy of free-for-the-first-thirty-minutes was cancelled, it might make some difference to the number of users.

According to the survey, many people wish that Youbike could enlarge its basket. Different from this result, our online survey shows that people wish to add an umbrella holder on Youbike.

Similar as the result of the online survey, most people think there are not enough stations, bicycles, and bicycle lanes. From the previous chart, we could see that people often have to wait for several minutes to get a Youbike. The amount of Youbike should be increased.

According to the chart, being environmental-friendly is the most important advantage for people who ride Youbike. To save money and stay fit are the two other advantages, however, the government have increased the fee of the first 30 minutes from free to 5 NTD.

The chart above shows that the air pollution is the first problem that should be improved. Half of the problems above could be related to the heavy traffic of Taipei City. With the promotion of Youbike, we wish that people could ride bicycles instead of drive cars, and those traffic problems may be improved due to the less use of cars.

According to the chart, most people feel that there aren't enough bicycle facilities, which includes bicycle lanes, Youbike stations and so on.

The survey shows that about a half of people think when setting bicycle lanes, the government should consider the local conditions and have different policies.

From the former survey, we could know that almost half of our respondents think there should be more stations set along the MRT, while the online survey shows that people think stations should be set along the main roads and near schools. Commuters might consider riding Youbike in substitution for the MRT.

According to the pie chart above, the percentage of people who agree and disagree is about the same. The result is different from our online survey, which shows that more people agree to this idea. We think that the government should do more research to solve the problem of no space to set bicycle lanes.

According to the chart above, most people are satisfied with this project. By doing these researches and analysis, we wish to let more people know what the public really thinks about this project, so that we could think of improvements all together and make the Youbike project a better policy.
